Jeff Passan Teams Up with ESPN: The Exciting Launch of His New Podcast

    ESPN MLB

Jeff Passan isn’t fading into the background. His voice is about to resonate even more.

The senior MLB insider has solidified his status with ESPN, signing a multi-year extension that includes launching his very own baseball podcast in collaboration with Omaha Productions, the media venture co-founded by Peyton Manning and executive Jamie Horowitz.

What does this mean? Passan is positioned to amplify his reach.

At 45, he remains a crucial voice in ESPN’s baseball coverage, breaking news and providing analysis across ESPN.com, “SportsCenter,” and shows like “The Pat McAfee Show.” Yet, his new podcast will be the main highlight, showcasing ESPN’s shift toward content driven by personality and adaptable platforms.

Omaha Productions has carved out a notable niche in sports media. With Passan on board, they gain immediate authority in the baseball domain.

“I joined ESPN seven years ago with the ambition to share stories with the largest, most dedicated sports audience,” Passan expressed in the network’s announcement.

The timing of this news is strategic, coinciding with the 2026 MLB season, set to kick off on March 25.

Since joining ESPN in 2019 after a 13-year tenure at Yahoo Sports, he has become one of the most recognizable figures in baseball reporting — combining scoops with compelling narratives.

Now, he’s getting his own dedicated platform.

If you’re following baseball, this development is nothing short of significant.
